I made this one for Owen, he picked out the fabrics! Look, it totally matches Ernie!

Baby...err Kitty in Da Hood
Just finished the Babez in Da Hood bonnet by Franklin Habit. I think it is so stinkin' cute, I cannot wait to put this on my baby :) I had to use Ernie as my unwilling model, he didn't like the bonnet very much :(

Cute Face
A minute after I read Tami's blog post "Cute Face" about her dog under her desk and replying with "My cats sit on top of my desk and usually between me and the keyboard" Ernie hopped up and did just that!
Alas, the dagoba chocolate bars are just an inch out of this photo Tami, but there is some Starbucks Chocolate on the right side!

More carded batts
I found that I had a bit more carding that I could do while I still had the use of the drum carder. I took a Romney roving that I bought from Stitch Jones and carded it with the white flash and a carded batt of some angora that I bought at OFFF and the white Alpaca/Merino/Silk. There is about 7oz of fiber here!

Naked Bunny
Last weekend Pearl got a long overdue haircut!! Deb is in the PDX Knitbloggers group and she also has a small rabbitry, she and her husband were so nice to help us out and teach us how to give the bunny a trim! Needless to say the bun did not like the experience! In fact she was quite pissed off at us all day, until she got home to her Ernie and told him all about it, he gave her some lickin's and she was ok after that. We did give her a carrot and some timmy tots to make up for it. Gosh, I don't know how we are going to do it by ourselves next time.
This is the before:
Poor Mark covered in angora
Me consoling the bun
Ernie letting her know it was all going to be ok

Rainbow Shawl
This is the first project that I am knitting using my handspun yarn!! Very cool huh? I think so! I got Ernie to model it, he probably thought it was a nice warm blanket made just for him. The pattern is the Simple Yet Effective Shawl, it can be found on ravelry.
PS, I'm testing out the blogging feature on Picassa!

Shearing help
Yay, Deb is going to help me shear my bunny Pearl next Sunday. Wahoo!! Poor girl needs to get her hot hot coat off of her and I have no clue where to start. I'm so glad that Deb was on the yarn crawl and we could exchange fun stories about our buns :)

OFFF Haul
Holy cow, I didn't post about my Oregon Flock and Fiber haul?? Well, this is totally a better late than never situation. I think that I posted on the OFFF ravelry group, but forgot to blog it here.
This is what I walked away with!
4 skeins of Blue Moon Socks that Rock
2 Blue Moon patterns
1 skein Fresh Yarn sock yarn
4oz Knitted Wit merino
2 oz angora fiber
8oz Sari Silk fiber
blue nylon fiber
1oz batt - thanks to a fellow PDX Knit blogger
a Niddy Noddy
a mini basket
And an Ernie cat that is hamming it up.
Here's a pic of me at OFFF with gail, I"m just showing off my blue moon stuff (photo by Angela).

Huge zuke or Small cat?
I think it's safe to say that my cat is not small (he's 17 pounds), that zuke is a whopping 3 pounds!!!
