After 3 trips to Walgreens, I finally picked up all of my Gestational Diabetes testing supplies. I had my training on how to check my blood sugar levels and give myself insulin injections. The needles do not hurt as much as my brain thinks they should. And poking my finger doesn't hurt at all! Check it out, I even get one of those cool needle disposal containers!!
I decided that the world isn't going to end over this whole mess. Even though I thought it would on Friday. I guess it will just take some getting used to this new schedule of eating every 2-3 hours and planning out meals ahead of time. I have to test myself 5 times a day and give myself insulin 2 times a day. I also have to calculate out all the carbs I'm eating, and I have to keep a food journal which makes it a little less tempting to eat something sweet...
And just so this post doesn't scare young children, here is a cute picture of Pearl eating a yarn label. She seems to love Misti Alpaca as much as I do!

I'm glad you're not letting it keep you down! You do know that Misti Lace Alpaca is on sale at Knitting Bee this month for only $5 a skein - right?
Yay! I'm so glad you are turning this into a positive! :)
Pearl is adorable, and has fabulous taste in yarn labels!! :)
